Registration

Q. I have attended Global Media Forum in previous years. But my login information from last year is not working. What should I do?
A. To register for the Global Media Forum 2016, each participant must create a new account. The account information will only be valid until shortly after the Global Media Forum in June, after which time it will be erased. Each participant must create a new account for each conference.

Q. Can someone else sign me up?/Can I sign someone else up?
A. For security reasons, we request each participant provide personal information to complete their registration. This personal information includes ID and passport number, along with home address. It is therefore best that each participant completes their own registration.

Q. How can I register as a journalist/media representative?
A. To obtain press accreditation, register here: https://www.bonn-conferences.de/gmf2016/en/585 You will be asked to upload a copy of your press or company ID. Please note that this ID must be valid and will be checked for approval. Please keep an eye on your emails, as you will receive updates regarding the status of your accreditation.

Accommodation and travel

Q. Who can book my hotel/flight?

Press information

Q. How can I register as a journalist/media representative?
A. To obtain press accreditation, register here: https://www.bonn-conferences.de/gmf2016/en/585 You will be asked to upload a copy of your press or company ID. Please note that this ID must be valid and will be checked for approval. Please keep an eye on your emails, as you will receive updates regarding the status of your accreditation.

Q. I will be attending the GMF and would like to report on the event. How do I receive relevant press information?

Tickets/conference passes

Q. Can I register on site?
A. Generally speaking, an on-site registration is not standard, though it is possible. However, due to a limited number of tickets, it is highly advisable that participants register in advance online: https://www.bonn-conferences.de/gmf2016/en/584

Q. How do I obtain a ticket for the boat cruise?

Q. What is included in my conference pass?
A. Each conference pass covers all sessions, panels and some side events; meals provided during the conference as well as coffee, drinks and snacks; free public transportation with bus and tram in and around Bonn.

Q. Where do I get my conference pass?
A. After registering in advance online participants can pick up their conference passes at the front desk starting from the first day of the conference at 8:30 am. Please note participants will be required to present a valid ID to obtain their tickets.

Discounts

A. Am I eligible for a discount on my conference pass?
Q. Interns, students and members of NGOs can receive discounted conference tickets. For this, a copy of a valid ID - student or work ID - can be uploaded to the registration form.

Participation

Q. Do I have to sign up to go to a particular workshop?

Visa requirements for out-of-country guests

Q. How can I obtain a German visa?

Due to various time limits and restrictions, we recommend that participants apply for a visa as early as possible. When submitting your documents, please make sure they are complete and that all forms have been filled out.
