Eurozone finance ministers failed to reach a deal for fresh bailout cash for Greece, as a row with the International Monetary Fund over debt relief dragged on.
Members of Chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democrats have denied a report that Wolfgang Schäuble was asked to step in and mediate a migration policy compromise with the Bavarian CSU.
Germany, France and key European states will hold an informal meeting on Sunday to address migration. It comes as the EU shifts into overdrive to strike a migration deal ahead of a leaders summit on June 28-29.
