In many cities in Europe the holiday season starts in late November. Christmas markets open, shopping streets are lit with thousands of lights and store windows are festively decorated.
Today, half the world's electric cars are on Chinese roads: the country is set on becoming the world's technology and market leader. Germany, as a leading research location, could profit greatly from that ambition.
Germany is full of traditions celebrated throughout the year, but autumn has its own special brand of festivities celebrating harvest, light, liberty and luck to warm up a season heading into darkness.
