In this highlights edition:

Magician Farid, Danish designer Verner Panton, surfing on Munich's Eisbach river, chef legend Paul Bocuse and Moscow in winter.

Modern Magician Farid
Magician Farid is creating quite a stir in Germany with his modern take on the conjurer’s art. He often goes out onto the street to baffle onlookers as he produces cars from nowhere, reads minds and even indulges in a bit of levitation.

Danish Designer Verner Panton
Danish designer Verner Panton was one of the great innovators of the 50s and 60s, partially responsible for making Scandinavian design almost a brand name in itself. Euromaxx visits a show dedicated to Panton at the Danish embassy in Berlin.

Surfing on Munich's Eisbach River
Most southern German surfers seek warmer climes when they get the bug in the winter but there is an alternative. You can ride the unique wave on Munich's Eisbach river. Veteran river surfer Dieter Deventer has been doing this since 1973 and has just followed up his 2009 documentary film "Keep Surfing" with a book of surfing photos.

Chef Legend Paul Bocuse turns 85
Paul Bocuse has dedicated his life to French gastronomy. He is the ambassador of the Nouvel Cuisine and also creator of the prestigious Bocuse d’Or cooking competition. He has held on to his three Michelin stars for an incredible forty-five years.

city: Moscow in the Winter
For the true Moscow experience you really have to visit the city in winter. In the Russian capital temperatures might drop to around minus 20 degrees celcius but it’s still one of the hottest places to be.
