The dirndl is a common sight at Oktoberfest celebrations, but now the traditional dresses from Bavaria are apparently catching on in other parts of Germany.

The Beethoven Project
The Beethoven Project is a DW-TV documentary film following preparations for performances by the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen of all nine Beethoven symphonies at the 2009 Beethoven Festival in Bonn. Ahead of this year's festival, the documentary film was shown in Berlin. It will also be broadcast on DW-TV in four parts in October 2010.
