The capital of Latvia is our destination in honor of the fact that Latvia - one of the three Baltic Republics - takes over the EU rotating Presidency on January 1st. Riga is the biggest of the Baltic state capitals and home to about a third of the country's population. It's just finishing a stint as European Capital of Culture in 2014, and we find out what makes it such a worthwhile visit.
