New registrations of cars in the European Union have gone down markedly in recent weeks. Fresh figures show that particularly the UK auto market is going through a rough patch amid Brexit-related uncertainties.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said she firmly believes a Brexit deal can be reached despite a lack of details from Britain. Merkel also said EU leaders agreed to cut financial aid to Turkey over rights violations.
Theresa May has not left Brussels empty-handed, but at the end of a two-day EU summit, the bloc still lacks "all the details we need." EU leaders remained at odds on some internal reforms, as well.
