Britain has suspended flights to Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, in the wake of the crash of a Russian airliner. Now other countries may follow suit. It's a blow for Egypt's tourism industry, already reeling after the recent years of political turmoil.
After a plane carrying Russian holidaymakers crashed from the sky last month, tour operators rushed to evacuate tourists and suspended flights. Naomi Conrad reports from a town desperately hoping for a tourism revival.
The two men were each sentenced to 30 months jail after admitting making several flights to England carrying migrants. They were caught earlier this week leaving an aerodrome close to the port town of Calais.
Balearic Islands authorities say unlimited consumption of alcohol has proven problematic on flights to the party havens of Ibiza and Mallorca. They hope to see more sober arrivals to the Mediterranean archipelago.
The Doha-based airline is the fourth to say it has been exempted from the US laptop ban after a tightening of security. Washington had put the restrictions in place to stop such devices being used in terror attacks.
