Harvey's Mounting Toll - Strong Euro
Waters are still rising in Texas as an unprecedented storm moves across the US state leaving thousands homeless. Damage from Hurricane Harvey may be as bad as Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Two explosions and billowing smoke have been reported at a flood-hit chemical plant near Houston. Residents nearby have been ordered to evacuate.
US President Donald Trump has visited Texas as Houston imposed an indefinite curfew amid reports of looting and armed robberies. An evacuation order has been issued south of the city after a levee was breached.
Weakened but not finished, Harvey is dumping even more rain onto the state of Louisiana. Back in Texas, rescue work continues and residents have been evacuated as a heavily flooded chemical plant threatens to explode.
