Brexit Talks - New Uber CEO - Education in China
Ride-hailing giant Uber has sold its Southeast Asia service to rival operator Grab. The sale ends a lengthy battle for market share in the region. The Uber CEO will get a seat on the board of Grab.
UK leaders are finding their European friends in a time of need. Meanwhile, there is white smoke in Brussels for the transition deal and a Brexit joke from France has fallen flat in London.
Uber chief executive Dara Khosrowshahi has said the US ride-hailing firm will focus on "responsible growth" in Europe as he seeks to end the "pirate mentality" he inherited from company founder Travis Kalanick.
The German and French rivals have inked a deal to merge their rail operations, but antitrust authorities still need to approve tie-up. Siemens said the new firm will be headquartered in France.
