US Infrastructure - Trump Address - Opel Takeover
French car maker PSA is reportedly seeking a refund from General Motors (GM) after discovering it was allegedly misled about Opel's emissions challenges prior to the acquisition of the German car maker.
The new owner of Opel-Vauxhall says it won't begin involuntary layoffs at the loss making carmaker it bought from GM. The restructuring plan will see factories remain open and the brand expand to 20 new export markets.
Special counsel Robert Mueller has reportedly asked Deutsche Bank to share data on the US president's business dealings. Trump's lawyer has denied that the bank's financial records were subpoenaed.
Berlin has vowed to back an "open and free internet" following a US decision to repeal net neutrality rules. But some experts say the US move could open the floodgates to a multi-speed internet in Europe.
