EU foreign ministers have pressed Turkey to keep its borders open as some 35,000 people attempt to flee Syria. Despite a deal with Ankara to house and care for Syrian refugees, a key border crossing remained closed.
Turkey is demanding that two of its military attaches who fled Greece after Turkey's abortive coup be returned from Europe. It says three other attaches have been sent back from Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
At Greece's northern border, a tiny settlement is the final stop in the country for hundreds of thousands of refugees on their way to Europe. Omaira Gill reports from Idomeni, population 154.
