Judge extends deadline in emissions scandal - Protests in Paris against labor reforms - Hope for France’s troubled youth

Truckers blocked roads across France while radical groups brawled with the police, kicking off the week of protests against government's labor reform. President Hollande said he would "not back down" on the bill.
French authorities have accused "violent groups" of exploiting large protests against its plans to reform labor laws. Some 150 people have been detained, including 27 arrested overnight at Paris' Place de la Republique.
Unions and youth organizations in France have called for a day of protest against the government's push to overhaul the labor market. The scheduled demonstrations coincide with a long-distance rail strike.
