Apple goes small for new iPhone, iPad - Brazil: Petrobras posts record loss-
Brazil's state-run oil giant, Petrobras, has posted its biggest ever quarterly loss. The steep fall in oil prices hurt results, although earnings continue to be impacted by a massive corruption case.
The 2016 Olympic Games have been overshadowed by a perfect storm of political crisis, corruption scandal and economic recession. In Brazil, expectations are modest, reports Donna Bowater from Rio de Janeiro.
The 'Valor Economic' newspaper has reported that executives with the Odebrecht engineering group are to sign a leniency agreement and agree to pay $2.1 billion in fines. It is the largest deal of its kind since 2008.
