DW-AKADEMIE is mainly active in Asian countries which are undergoing major political changes. These are precisely the states in which professional media are necessary and sought after.

In Southeast Asia, these countries include Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia and East Timor. In South Asia they include Pakistan, Nepal and Bhutan.

In addition to the above countries, DW-AKADEMIE also works regularly with many broadcast stations and institutions in China.
