The first round of the German Cup is underway. Bundesliga runners-up RB Leipzig are set to face lowly opposition: Sixth-tier club Sportfreunde Dorfmerkingen may not have a great chance of progression, but the whole town buzzes with excitement.
Both of Germany's teams in the round of 16 could advance to the quarterfinals. However, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig face tricky second-leg matches against RB Salzburg and Zenit St.Petersburg, respectively.
