Today's news organizations and media entrepreneurs are inventing new ways to discover, create and distribute news content - and we're here to provide tools, data, and programs designed to help. At the heart of all that we do is also a spirit of experimentation. The News Lab engages entrepreneurs and journalists with the latest developing Google technologies to test out new applications. In Europe the News Lab is powering the 2nd pillar of the Digital News Initiative (DNI): training and research.

During the keynote and followed by a hands-on workshop Isa Sonnenfeld will talk about the DNI at large and the most important tools for digital storytelling. She will also outline the most recent developments in the field of Virtual Reality and what it means for journalism.
