NGO CyArk uses 3D laser imaging to preserve endangered artifacts digitally.
Italy has teamed up with UNESCO in an effort to protect art, archaeological sites and artifacts endangered by extremists like the "Islamic State," but also natural disasters.
The NGO CyArk digitally preserves cultural artifacts and structures using laser technology. It's a way of virtually recording objects that could be subject to terrorist attacks or natural decay.
