Deutsche Bahn, Germany’s national railway, said on Thursday it would sell two subsidiaries to U.S. holding company Bain Capital for €1.4 billion ($1.7 billion). Deutsche Bahn took over the two units, Brenntag and Interfer Stahl, last year after buying the logistics company Stinnes. Brenntag is a chemical logistics firm and Interfer deals with the steel industry. Bain Capital is expected to close the deal in March 2004.
