The Danish parliament has passed controversial new legislation aimed at curbing the influx of migrants and refugees. The laws include measures such as the confiscation of cash and valuables from refugees, so that they share the costs of integration.
Following President Donald Trump's move to cut aid to the UN agency for Palestinians, 11 nations have rushed to deliver their funds early. The agency appealed for $800 million to provide aid to Palestinian refugees.
The EU has promised an extra €42.5 million to Palestinians for state-building efforts. The aid comes after the US decision to withhold millions in funding from the UN agency that supports Palestinian refugees.
