Child labor has been banned in most parts of the world for decades, but it is still rampant, says Human Rights Watch. The organization demands an end to the exploitation of children, that is rampant especially in agriculture and mining.

A new law introduced in 2016 which criminalizes child labor has failed to stop exploitation due to inadequate implementation. More than 2 million children in Uganda are estimated to be affected.
