Italy has declared a state of emergency after flash floods on the island of Sardinia left at least 17 people dead and forced hundreds to evacuate their homes.
At least 57 people have been killed in landslides in three hilly districts of Bangladesh following heavy rains. One district received nearly a half meter of rain in the past 48 hours.
Cyclone Mora has left a trail of destruction in southern Bangladesh, killing at least three people and flattening homes. Hundreds of thousands of people had to be moved from low-lying coastal areas.
A town on New Zealand's North Island has been evacuated amid torrential flooding. The deluge battering the country is the aftermath of Cyclone Debbie, which devastated Australia.
As tens of thousands of people are forced out of their homes, problems aren't helped by wildlife. Offenders range from eight-legged bugs to creatures with no legs at all.
