A court dismissed the first case against a tobacco company in Germany on Friday. A district court in Arnsberg said smokers were responsible for their own health and rejected the €213,000 ($250,000) claim against Reemtsa tobacco company. Smoker Wolfgang Heine had attempted to sue Reemtsa, which he accused of putting additives in cigarettes to make them more addictive. He blamed his addiction to cigarettes for his health problems.
