Countries who produce the best programmers

In fifth spot is Hungary - according to statistics compiled by HackerRank, which has over a million computer whizzes registered on its site.  It holds regular competitions for them to show off their skills -- and use the results to apply for jobs around the world.  Hungary's programmers are in big demand.

At number four: Switzerland. Programmers here play a big role supporting the police, while in the radiology department they help doctors deteect serious disorders.  Computer experts are collaborating in practically every aspect of life in the Alpine state.

Ranked third is Poland.  HackerRank runs several programming competitions simultaneously. Contestants have to be sure to choose just the right discipline.  Polish techies appear to have little problem doing just that.
Our runner-up is Russia. The country's hackers can crack even the toughest nut.  They've specialized in programming algorithms - and dominate the portal's most popular competition.

Crunching number one is China. It builds some of the world's fastest computers - so little wonder that Chinese IT aces top the programmers' chart.
