A new film takes a close look at the founding of the Wikileaks website.
A British judge has upheld an arrest warrant for Julian Assange. The Wikileaks founder has been holed up in the Ecuadorian Embassy in the UK since 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden over sexual assault charges.
Assange's lawyers argue that the warrant serves no purpose now that he is no longer wanted for questioning in Sweden over alleged sexual assault. Assange has been holed up in the Ecuadorean Embassy in London since 2012.
Ecuador has granted citizenship to Julian Assange, who has been holed up inside the Ecuadorian embassy in London for over five years. Quito has said naturalization should provide Assange with another layer of protection.
The Ecuadorian foreign minister has urged "international cooperation" to end a standoff in the case of Julian Assange. But the UK has warned it will arrest the WikiLeaks founder if he steps outside Ecuador's embassy.
