Compared to Mercedes’ classic station wagon range the Shooting Brake is a more stylish affair, combining design and practical transportation.

Unlike the car maker's classic estate car, known internally as the T-Model, the Shooting Brake is clearly more a Lifestyle station wagon that fuses design and roomy practicality. Visually, it inherits the contours of the coupé and lets them flow gracefully into the hatch of a station wagon's rear. But is the design as practical as it is striking? Drive It! tested the compact with the curvaceous rear for its handling and spaciousness.
