Coming up...Heynckes, Bayer and Bayern

April 18, 2011

Jupp Heynckes took over as Leverkusen coach in 2009. And the club has been on the rise ever since. The 65 year old has formed a young squad that is on course for next season's Champions League.

But Heynckes has decided to leave Leverkusen and return to his former club Bayern Munich. Heynckes led Bayern to two Bundesliga titles between 1987 and 1991. He also stepped in for five games in 2009 after Jürgen Klinsmann was fired and secured a Champions League spot. After stormy times at Bayern with coach Louis van Gaal the club hopes things will settle down once Heynckes takes over.
