Bulgarian "wrap artist" is set to unveil his latest project on Italy's Lake Iseo. Connecting the shore and two islands in the lake, Christo's Floating Piers will be three kilometers in length.
Christo's latest temporary artwork, "The Floating Piers" at Lake Iseo in Italy, is now leaving traces in Germany - but they're intentionally unrecognizable. Some of them are literally buried in the sand.
Bad weather may have forced partial closures of Christo's latest work - but nevertheless thousands flocked to Lake Iseo for their chance to "walk on water".
Artist Christo's orange floating walkway on a northern Italian lake closed after attracting over 1.2 million visitors, twice as many as expected.
Preparations for Christo's Floating Piers project on Lake Iseo are well underway. It will feature 70,000 square meters of fabric currently being sewed in Lübeck.
