All over the world, women and girls are victims of violence. They are subjected to sexual abuse, repression and rape. Why do women endure this humiliation?

All over the world, women and girls are victims of violence. They are subjected to sexual abuse, repression and rape.

Why do women endure this humiliation? Sometimes they are financially dependent, they are afraid of being cast out by their families and by society, or they are afraid they will lose their children. The reasons are the same wherever you are in the world.

Today's globalized society boasts of equality enshrined in the law. But the reality of daily life for many women is different. More than 60 percent of the world's girls are not allowed to attend school. Many of these girls turn to prostitution to get money. Sex without protection pays better. So the girls don't use condoms and open themselves up to sexual diseases or HIV. It is a bitter circle that only very few can escape.
