Boosting US-South Korea Ties

South Korea has agreed to ease restrictions for US beef imports, which were imposed in 2003 because of quality concerns. The move could pave the way for the ratification of a free trade pact between the two countries. It comes as the new South Korean president is on his first official trip to the US. Lee Myung-bak He is due to meet President George W. Bush at the weekend.
