Despite a 1-1 away draw to Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich managed to extend their lead over Schalke to two points on Saturday in Bundesliga soccer action.
Second-place Schalke suffered a crushing 4-2 defeat earlier in the day to Hanover, giving Bayern some breathing room at the top of the league.
Bayern now have 60 points with four games remaining. Schalke sit at 58, with Leverkusen in third with 54.
The Leverkusen-Bayern match-up stayed goalless until the second half, when Bayern took the lead as Arjen Robben scored on a penalty.
Leverkusen didn't take long to equalize, as midfielder Arturo Vidal scored the tie goal a few minutes later off a rebound from teammate Toni Kroos.
'Team of amateurs'
Earlier in the day, Schalke began their game against Hanover going down two goals in the first half hour.
"We acted like a team of amateurs. The second goal was my fault," admitted goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Schalke managed to tie it up after half-time, but Hanover came back at the end to score a further two goals, the last by midfielder Ya Konan in added time.
In Saturday's other games, Borussia Dortmund lost to Mainz 1-0, Cologne defeated Hoffenheim 2-0 and Werder Bremen trampled Freiburg 4-0.
Hertha Berlin stay at the bottom of the table after losing 1-0 to Stuttgart at home.
On Friday, Borussia Moenchengladbach blanked Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0.
Sunday's games will see Bochum take on Hamburg, while Nuremberg will face Wolfsburg.
