Over the Easter holidays, many passenger ships along the Danube and on the Bavarian lakes in southern Germany started their summer season.
In Passau, a city along the Danube, tourists can once again go on a cruise to neighboring Austria or follow a city guide to see Passau's main sights from the boat's perspective. Cruises along the three rivers surrounding Passau are also possible starting daily between 11am and 3pm.
In Regensburg, another city along the Dabube, the cruise companies have also launched their summer seaon. Only the line traffic between Passau, Engelhartszell and Schlögen will not be relaunched until mayday.
On the Bavarian Lakes, the Ammersee and Starnberger See, passenger boats have also been back in operation since Easter. Passengers will be happy to know that there is now free wifi on board at the Starnberg lake. The shipping traffic on the Tegernsee and Königssee lakes continued throughout the winter season. On Lake Constance the White Fleet of passenger boats started on Good Friday.
