Astronomers, physicists, worshippers and charlatans have all been awe-struck with the red planet at one time or another. It is the one planet in our solar system that has fired the imagination and belief that life exists outside earth more than any other. From erudite journals to pulpy comic books, man has yearned to prove life exists in one form or another there.
