Adidas Gets OK on Reebok Takeover

Tuesday that it had received the green light from the US competition authorities to take over its rival Reebok. The statutory waiting period under US anti-trust laws had expired, Adidas said in a statement. "As a result, no further anti-trust regulatory review will be necessary in the United States," the statement said. In August, Adidas-Salomon and Reebok agreed a 3.1-billion-euro ($3.8 billion) takeover of the US firm by the German group. The two sides expect the transaction to be completed in the first half of next year, they said.
