In Poland, around a hundred thousand people took to the streets of Warsaw and the Baltic city of Gdansk last weekend in support of Lech Walesa, the legendary leader of the anti-communist movement Solidarity. This followed accusations by the country’s right-wing leaders that Walesa had been a communist police informer. Julian Berner reports from Gdansk.
