In the US, some who are considered at high risk of contracting HIV are taking a pill called PrEP. It stands for pre-exposure prophylaxis and aims at stopping the infection taking hold in the event of exposure. It is partly modeled on the medication used to control the virus once someone is infected. Lena Nozizwe went to meet Ken who takes PrEP regularly and he told her his story.
