Israelis and Palestinians are set to talk peace again, with a stable two-state solution the desired outcome for many. But any solution involving statehood for Palestine must address the tangled issue of the new state's borders.
Amos Oz, one of Israel's greatest living authors, has also been a preeminent peace activist and remains a passionate advocate of a two-state solution in his homeland. He tells DW how he believes peace can be achieved.
The death toll from recent protests has risen to at least 39 after four more Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces. After four weeks of protests nearly 1,600 Palestinians have been wounded.
