ТАЦ кани български журналисти на семинар в Берлин
19 февруари 2018Invitation to a workshop in Berlin 19. - 25 April 2018
"European journalism – what are the challenges? An exchange between
Bulgarian and German journalists"
Eleven years after having joined the European Union Bulgaria has taken over the
EU-Presidency for the next six months. Not many people pay attention to this,
neither in Bulgaria and Germany nor in other parts of Europe. But they should.
Not only that Bulgaria has still many problems to solve (like corruption). The
situation of the media in Bulgaria has worsened over the last years and the
freedom of expression is at stake. What does this mean for the work of
journalists? Can they for instance freely report on advantages and disadvantages
of the EU-membership for their country?
These are some of the questions, which will be in the focus of the journalism
seminar of the taz-panter-foundation. Eight journalists from Bulgaria will be
invited to exchange and share their experience with German colleagues and
experts.
The participants will meet journalists, members of European parliament and
public stakeholders. They will take part in a congress organized by die
tageszeitung about the „future of labour" and they will get to know the German
media landscape especially know how is working die tageszeitung (taz) – a
newspaper which is unique in Germany.
